12225-83-1 Usage

Description

REACTIVE ORANGE 16 is a type of dye that is characterized by its brilliant yellow-red color and orange-red water solution. It is an orange powder that is insoluble in water but dissolves well in strong sulfuric acid. The dye exhibits different color changes when exposed to various chemicals, such as turning deep red upon the addition of sodium hydroxide and then light yellow when mixed with boric acid sodium.

Uses

Used in Textile Industry:
REACTIVE ORANGE 16 is used as a dye for various types of fibers, including cotton, viscose, linen, silk, wool, nylon, and polyvinyl alcohol. It is suitable for dip dyeing, pad dyeing, and is also appropriate for direct application onto the fiber. The dye is known for its anti-pollution properties and is used in discharge printing.
Standard:
The light fastness of REACTIVE ORANGE 16 is rated as ISO 5-6, indicating that it has moderate to good resistance to fading when exposed to light. It has a good resistance to oxygen bleaching (ISO 5) and perspiration fastness (ISO 5). The soaping fastness is rated as ISO 5(75℃), which means it has good resistance to fading when exposed to soap at 75°C. The fading and staining resistance of the dye varies depending on the specific application and conditions.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 12225-83-1 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,2,2,2 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 12225-83:
(7*1)+(6*2)+(5*2)+(4*2)+(3*5)+(2*8)+(1*3)=71
71 % 10 = 1
So 12225-83-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
