Description

FIR NEEDLE OIL, CANADIAN, also known as Balsam Fir Oil, is an essential oil derived from the needles and twigs of Abies balsamea (L.) Mill. (Family Pinaceae). It is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a pleasant balsamic odor and possesses antiseptic and stimulating properties. The oil is obtained through steam distillation and contains constituents such as careen, limonene, terpinolene, borneol, and piperitone.
