The IUPAC name of Calcein Blue is 2-[carboxymethyl-[(7-hydroxy-4-methyl-2-oxochromen-8-yl)methyl]amino]acetic acid . With the CAS registry number 54375-47-2, it is also named as 2,2'-{[(7-Hydroxy-4-methyl-2-oxo-2H-chromen-8-yl)methyl]imino}diacetic acid ; 4-Methylumbelliferone-8-methyleneiminodiacetic acid ; Glycine, N-(carboxymethyl)-N-[(7-hydroxy-4-methyl-2-oxo-2H-1-benzopyran-8-yl)methyl]- . The maximum absorption wavelength of Calcein Blue is 360nm. It is used as indicator for the complexometric titration.
