37326-33-3 Usage

Description

Hyaluronidase, also known as hyaluronate or hyaluronan, is a hyaluronic acid-metabolizing enzyme. It is found in the venoms of various animals, such as snakes, honeybees, and hymenoptera. Hyaluronidase degrades hyaluronic acid (HA), which enhances membrane permeability, lowers viscosity, and increases tissue permeability. This enzyme has various applications in the medical and scientific fields due to its ability to enhance the diffusion of local anesthetics, lower the size of myocardial infarction, improve the effects of anticancer drugs, and prevent perineal trauma during spontaneous delivery.

Uses

Used in Medical Applications:
Hyaluronidase is used as a facilitator for the absorption of fluid into tissues, promoting the diffusion of local anesthetics and enhancing the effects of anticancer drugs.
Used in Flow Cytometry:
Hyaluronidase is used as a reagent in flow cytometry, aiding in the isolation of putative spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs) and studying the effects of magnetic stimulation in magnetic hydrogel properties.
Used in Tissue Isolation:
Hyaluronidase is used as a reagent for the isolation of specific cell types, such as group-III auditory neurons of Muller's organ, for patch-clamp recordings.
Used in Immunohistochemistry:
Hyaluronidase is used as a reagent in immunohistochemistry to visualize the distribution of collagen type II.
Used in Hydrogel Degeneration:
Hyaluronidase is used as a reagent for the degeneration of hydrogels, which can be useful in various research applications.
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
Hyaluronidase is used as an enzyme in the pharmaceutical industry for its ability to reduce the viscosity of connective tissues and promote tissue penetration.
Chemical Properties:
Hyaluronidase is a white or yellowish-white, amorphous powder.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Hyaluronidase degrades hyaluronan and has been found to be inappropriately regulated during cancer progression.

Purification Methods

Hyaluronidase is purified by chromatography on DEAE-cellulose prior to use. [Distler & Jourdain J Biol Chem 248 6772 1973.]

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 37326-33-3 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 3,7,3,2 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 37326-33:
(7*3)+(6*7)+(5*3)+(4*2)+(3*6)+(2*3)+(1*3)=113
113 % 10 = 3
So 37326-33-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
