Description
Isocorydine hydrochloride is an aporphine alkaloid derived from A. squamosa, exhibiting vasodilatory and anticancer properties. It possesses the ability to reduce action potential duration and increase the effective refractory period in isolated canine Purkinje fibers at a concentration of 30 μM. Additionally, it demonstrates cytotoxic effects on various cancer cell lines, including A549 lung cancer cells and hepatic cancer cells. When combined with doxorubicin, it effectively reduces tumor growth in a Huh7 mouse xenograft model.
Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
Isocorydine hydrochloride is used as a vasodilator for its ability to induce relaxation of norepinephrine-precontracted isolated rabbit aortic strips with an EC50 value of 12.6 μM.
Used in Oncology:
Isocorydine hydrochloride is used as an anticancer agent for its cytotoxic effects on various cancer cell lines, such as A549 lung cancer cells and hepatic cancer cells. It also exhibits synergistic anticancer effects when combined with conventional chemotherapeutic drugs like doxorubicin, enhancing chemo-sensitivity and efficacy in resistant cases.
Used in Neurology:
Isocorydine hydrochloride is used as a sedative and cholinergic agent, contributing to its potential applications in the treatment of neurological disorders.
Used in Biochemistry Research:
Isocorydine hydrochloride is used as an alkaloid inhibitor of eukaryotic kinases, making it a valuable tool in biochemical research for studying the functions and mechanisms of these enzymes.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 475-67-2 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 4,7 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 475-67:
(5*4)+(4*7)+(3*5)+(2*6)+(1*7)=82
82 % 10 = 2
So 475-67-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
