Description
Zinc acetate dihydrate is a colorless or white efflorescent crystalline compound with a faint acetic acid odor and an astringent taste. It has a monoclinic crystal structure and a density of 1.735 g/cm3. Zinc acetate dihydrate loses water at 100°C and decomposes at 237°C. It readily dissolves in water, with a solubility of 43g/100 mL at 20°C, and is also soluble in alcohol.
