1.General Information: As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. Will burn if involved in a fire.
2.Extinguishing Media: Use water spray, dry chemical, carbon dioxide, or chemical foam. 
3.Handling: Do not breathe dust, vapor, mist, or gas. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Use only in a chemical fume hood.
4.Storage: Keep Sorbaldehyde (CAS NO. 142-83-6) away from sources of ignition. Store in a cool, dry place. Store in a tightly closed container. Keep under a nitrogen blanket. Keep refrigerated. (Store below 4°C/39°F.)
