Preparation of 2,2':6',2''-Terpyridine: this chemical can be prepared by 2-bromo-pyridine with 2,6-bis-trimethylstannanyl-pyridine. The reaction occurs with reagent Pd(PPh3)4 and other condition of heating for 8 hours. The yield is 72 %.

2,2',2''-Terpyridine can be prepared by 2-bromo-pyridine with 2,6-bis-trimethylstannanyl-pyridine.

Uses of 2,2':6',2''-Terpyridine: (1) it is used as reagent; (2) it is used to produce other chemicals. For example, it can produce [2,2';6',2'']terpyridine 1,1',1''-trioxide. This reaction needs reagent H2O2 and solvent acetic acid at temperature of 80-90 °C. The reaction time is 20 hours. The yield is 73 %.
