Preparation of 3-Amino-4-methoxy benzanilide: it can be prepared by 4-Chlorobenzoic acid. And you would obtain this chemical after methoxylation, nitration, condensation and reduction.

Uses of 3-Amino-4-methoxy benzanilide: this chemical is mainly used for dyeing and printing of cotton fabrics. It is also used for dyeing of viscose acetal fibre and hemp. Similarly, it is an intermediate used in organic synthesis. Moreover, it can react with Triphenyl-bismuthine to get 4-Methoxy-N-phenyl-3-phenylamino-benzamide.



This reaction needs Copper(II) acetate, Triethylamine and CH2Cl2 by heating. The yield is 74 %.
