5.Uses of 4-Aminobenzoic acid

In the past, 4-Aminobenzoic acid (CAS NO.150-13-0) has been widely used as a UV filter in sunscreen formulations, but then it has been determined that it increases the formation of a particular DNA defect in human cells, thus increasing the risk of skin cancer. Now,safer and more effective derivatives of 4-Aminobenzoic acid are more commonly used.
