6-Methoxy-1H-indole-3-ethanol Specification

The 1H-Indole-3-ethanol,6-methoxy-, with the CAS registry number 41340-31-2, is also known as 6-Methoxytrytophol. This chemical's molecular formula is C11H13NO2 and molecular weight is 191.23.

Preparation: this chemical can be prepared by (6-methoxy-1H-indol-3-yl)-oxo-acetic acid ethyl ester by heating. This reaction will need reagent LiAlH4 and solvent tetrahydrofuran with the reaction time of 4 hours. The yield is about 89%.
