Preparation: this chemical can be prepared by Dimethylamine. This reaction will need reagent POCl₃. The yield is about 88%.

Uses of Bis(dimethylamino)phosphoryl chloride: it can be used to produce Pentamethyl-phosphamide. It will need reagent Et₃N and solvent benzene.
