The Bis(dimethylamino)phosphoryl chloride is an organic compound with the formula C4H12ClN2OP. The IUPAC name of this chemical is N-[Chloro(dimethylamino)phosphoryl]-N-methylmethanamine. With the CAS registry number 1605-65-8, it is also named as Bis(dimethylamido)phosphoric chloride. Besides, it is clear colourless to slightly yellow liquid, which should be stored in a sealed place.

Preparation: this chemical can be prepared by Dimethylamine. This reaction will need reagent POCl3. The yield is about 88%.

Uses of Bis(dimethylamino)phosphoryl chloride: it can be used to produce Pentamethyl-phosphamide. It will need reagent Et3N and solvent benzene.
