- Heptacoordinated Halogeno- and Cyanocarbonyl Complexes of Niobium(I): Preparation and Spectroscopic Characterization. X-ray Structure of cis-
-
The complexes XNb(CO)6-nPm have been prepared by reaction of phosphine-stabilized hydridocarbonylniobium complexes and HCl, from carbonylniobates, X2 (or ICN), and pm, or directly via NbCl4 in the presence of pm and CO under reducing conditions. δ(93Nb) values cover the range of -1250 to -1590 ppm (relative to -); for n = 3 and pm = PMe2Ph, an inverse halogen dependence of 93Nb shielding is observed. The single-crystal X-ray structure analysis of ClNb(CO)2(dppe)2 (space group Nr. 2) reveals the basis structure of a trigonal prism, with Cl capping the tetragonal plane containing the four P atoms. - Key Words: Halogeno niobium complexes/ Niobium carbonyl complexes/ Niobium-93 NMR
