REACTION OF LITHIUM ALKYNYLTRIFLUOROBORATE REAGENTS WITH 2,3-EPOXY-6-OXABICYCLOOCTAN-7-OL. SYNTHESIS OF THE 13,14-DIDEHYDRO ANALOGS OF PROSTAGLANDIN-F2α
Lithium alkynyltrifluoroborate reagents react with 2,3-epoxy-6-oxabicyclooctan-7-ol chemoselectively at the epoxide group both in the case of a protected lactol and in the case of a free lactol.The reaction was used for the synthesis of the 13,14-didehydro analogs of prostaglandin-F2α.A procedure is proposed for the synthesis of these prostaglandins in one reaction vessel.The main intermediate and final products were identified by 13C NMR.
