- Dehydration-fragmentation mechanism of cathinones and their metabolites in ESI-CID
-
Various cathinone-derived designer drugs (CATs) have recently appeared on the drug market. This study examined the mechanism for the generation of dehydrated ions for CATs during electrospray ionization collision-induced dissociation (ESI-CID). The genera

- Synthesis of Enones and Enals via Dehydrogenation of Saturated Ketones and Aldehydes
-
A general, efficient and economic palladium-catalyzed dehydrogenation to form enones or enals has been developed. The approach possesses extremely broad substrate scope including various linear or cyclic saturated ketones and aldehydes. The protocol is ligand-free, and molecular oxygen is used as the sole clean oxidant in the reaction. Due to mild reaction conditions, good functional group compatibility, and versatile utilities of enones and enals, the method can be applied in the late-stage synthesis of natural products, pharmaceuticals and fine chemicals. - Is the collosion induced loss of ethene from the (M - H+)- ion of butyrophenone a γ-hydrogen rearrangement?
-
The (M - H+)- ion of butyrophenone undergoes the following reactions on collisional activation: losses of CH3., CH4, (C,H5.), C2H4, C3H7., (CO + CH4), together with formation of C6H5- and C
