The invention belongs to the technical field of chemical synthesis and drug application, and particularly relates to an ethylsulfonyl-containing pyridinyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole substituted benzamide compound as well as a preparation method and application of the ethylsulfonyl-containing pyridinyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole substituted benzamide compound. The preparation method comprises the following steps: reacting methyl 2-chloro-5-cyanobenzoate with hydroxylamine hydrochloride, the conducting cyclizing with acyl chlorinated 3-chloro-6-ethylthiopicolinic acid, and finally conducting hydrolyzing, condensingand oxidizing to obtain the ethylsulfonyl-containing pyridinyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole substituted benzamide compound. The preparation method disclosed by the invention is simple and convenient to operate,the structure of the obtained product is confirmed by a nuclear magnetic hydrogen spectrum, sterilization activity tests are carried out on the obtained 14 target products, and results show that the target products disclosed by the invention show good inhibition on cucumber gray mold at the concentration of 100ppm, and the inhibition rate of some compounds is up to 80% or above.
