- METHOD FOR PRODUCING ARYLSILANE COMPOUND CONTAINING HALOSILANE COMPOUND AS RAW MATERIAL
-
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an arylsilane compound with low production cost. SOLUTION: A method for producing an arylsilane compound includes a reaction step for the cross-coupling reaction of a halosilane compound represented by general formula (A-1), (A-2), or (A-3) and an arylboronic acid pinacol ester in the presence of a nickel catalyst, a Lewis acid catalyst, and an organic base (R independently represent an aromatic hydrocarbon group, a heteroaromatic ring group, or a C1-20 hydrocarbon group; X independently represent a halogeno group or a trifluoromethanesulfonyloxy group). - Design, synthesis, and photoelectric properties of v-shaped organic fluorescent compounds with a 1,3,4-oxadiazole moiety
-
A series of symmetric, silicon-linked organic fluorescent compounds with two electron-deficient 1,3,4-oxadiazole units were synthesized and characterized. The compounds possessed a V-shaped structure with a silicon atom, which weakened π–π stacking, promoting aggregation-induced emission. The compounds were fluorescent in both solution and solid-state thin films. The efficient fluorescent behavior of the materials was confirmed through optical and electrochemical measurements. The compounds displayed excellent thermal stability, with decomposition temperatures exceeding 400 °C. Amorphous films of the compounds possessed high morphological stability. These results indicate that the compounds may be promising emissive and electron-transporting materials.

- B(C6F5)3-Catalyzed C-Si/Si-H Cross-Metathesis of Hydrosilanes
-
The substituent redistribution of hydrosilanes on silicon through C-Si and Si-H bond cleavage and reformation is of great interest and importance, but this transformation is usually difficult to achieve in a selective fashion. By using electron-rich aromatic hydrosilanes, we have achieved for the first time the selective C-Si/Si-H bond homo- and cross-metathesis of a series of hydrosilanes in the presence of a boron catalyst B(C6F5)3. This protocol features simple reaction conditions, high chemoselectivity, wide substrate scope, and high functionality tolerance, offering a new pathway for the synthesis of multisubstituted functional silanes.

- Reaction of silyl(carbonyl)iron complexes with liAlH4 giving methylsilanes: Reduction of a carbonyl ligand and coupling with a silyl group
-
Treatment of CpFe(CO)2SiR3 (R3 = (pTol)2H, (pTol)2Me, MePh(1-Nap); 1-Nap = 1-naphthyl) with LiAlH4 in ether or THF at room temperature gave CH3SiR3 as a major product in moderate to high yield. The labeling experiments using LiAlD4 and CpFe(13CO)2SiR(pTol)2 (R = H, Me) proved unambiguously that the carbonyl ligand is reduced with LiAlH4 and coupled with the silyl group to give the methylsilanc.
