PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel diammonium salt and to provide a method for producing zeolite using a diammonium salt, preferably small-pore zeolite and more preferably AFX-Type zeolite. SOLUTION: There is provided a diammonium salt represented by the general formula (1).
