- Preparation of (1R*,2S*,5R*,6R*)-1-methyl-2,5,6-tribromocyclooctane and 3-methyl-6,7-dibromocyclooctene
-
Reaction of 4,5-dibromobicyclo[6.1.0]non-4-ene with anhydrous AlBr3 forms (1R*,2S*,5R*,6*)-1-methyl-2,5,6-tribromocyclooctane and 3-methyl-6,7-dibromocyclooctene.

- Dehydrohalogenation of adducts of dichlorocarbene with cyclooctene and its peripherally cyclopropanated analogs
-
Dehydrohalogenation of three isomeric adducts of dichlotocarbene with bicyclo[6.1.0]non-1-, -2-, and -4-enes under the action of potassium tert-butoxide in DMSO was studied. In the course of dehydrohalogenation of the substrates under study, different isomerization processes, which were accompanied by repeated migrations of multiple bonds that formed, occurred depending on the structure of dichlorides, while no skeletal rearrangements were observed.

- Synthesis of Alycyclic Spiropentanes
-
Synthetic approach to polycyclic structures with spiropentane fragment included in the main ring was developed using [1+2]cycloaddition of halocarbenes and dihalocarbenes to cyclooctene and 1,5-cyclooctadiene followed by dehydrohalogeneation of the adducts and cyclopropanation of the olefins formed. A series of alicyclic cyclopropanes of various structute was prepared with an eight-membered and nine-membered main ring.

- REACTION OF CYCLIC OLEFINS CONTAINING CYCLOPROPANE FRAGMENTS WITH DIAZOMETHANE IN THE PRESENCE OF PALLADIUM(II) ACETATE
-
The reaction of a series of cyclic olefins containing three-membered rings with diazomethane in the presence of palladium(II) acetate leads to the formation of high yields of the sterically least hindered cyclopropane derivatives.
