The invention relates to imidazole ionic liquid and a preparation method and application thereof. A structural formula of the ionic liquid is as follows, wherein m is 1, 2, 3 or 4; n is 2 or 3. The application of the imidazole-based ionic liquid is use in an anion exchange membrane of a synthetic battery. The anion exchange membrane comprises: a polymer matrix, inorganic particles and ionic liquid; wherein amass ratio of the inorganic particles to the polymer matrix is (0.01 to 0.1):1, and the mass percentage of the inorganic particles to the ionic liquid is 1:(2 to 4). The imidazole type ionic liquid is low-cost, has ideal alkali stability, and can be used as an ideal material for preparing the anion exchange membrane.
