Introduction Of Carbon black(CAS No.: 1333-86-4)
Carbon black (CAS no 1333-86-4), a form of amorphous carbon, is a kind of black pellet or powder and it mainly consists of carbon element. This material could be produced from the incomplete combustion or thermal decomposition of hydrocarbon compoud with solid, liquid, and gaseous state.
Carbon black can be used as a pigment in inks, coatings and plastics. For example, it could be added to polypropylene because it absorbs ultraviolet radiation which could cause the material to degrade.
Besides, used in reinforcing phase in automobile tires, this chemical could help conduct heat away from the tread and belt area of the tire, reducing the thermal damage and increasing tire life. Carbon black particles are also employed in some radar absorbent materials and in photocopier and laser printer toner. Carbon black from vegetable origin is used as a food coloring, and it is also known as additive E153 in Europe.
[Basic information]:

[Specification]:
Carbon black differs in color depth, appearance and proportion if produced by different manufacturing processes. And by now the production processes of this chemical are mainly the below three ways: furnace black process, thermal black process and channel process. With our advanced technologies in dealing with varieties of carbon black, our company could provide the carbon black products with high quality and the main products are as below:
1. N115 carbon black
(1)This product is used in the truck tire, passenger tire tread rubber and so on, and it could also be used in the high strength, high wear-resistant rubber products, such as high-strength conveyor belt, industrial rubber products.
(2)The N115 carbon black has the smallest partical size in the carbon black series used in rubber and it is one of the best variety which has the highest reinforcing performance and wear-resisting performance. However, it is difficult in scattering, so it should be spreaded well-distributed to prevent the heat being too high. You could also add anti-coke agents or mix it with other carbon black to prevent the coke burning.
2. N121 carbon black
(1)This product is mainly used in tire tread, especially in high-speed passenger car tire tread.
(2)This product has the better wear resistance than N220. In the N110 series carbon black, this product has better performance in the processing.
3. N134 carbon black
(1)This product is mainly used in trucks, buses and high-performance passenger car tire tread compound.
(2)This product has the best wear resistance and it is much easier in dispersing than N110.
4. N220 carbon black
(1)This product is used in the truck tire, passenger tire tread rubber, and other rubber products which require high strength and wear-resistant, such as high-strength conveyor belt, industrial rubber products.
(2)This product is applied in all kinds of rubber. The rubber material containing N20 has higher wear resistance (about 10% to 20%) than containing N330. And it could enable rubber material to have better tensile strength and tear resistance, and it has certain conductivity while with high heat and hardness.
5. N234 carbon black
(1)This product is used in high-speed tire tread and high-quality rubber products.
(2)This product has the better wear resistance than N220, N242 and N339 and its wear resistance is 10% higher than N220's. When used in high-demanding condition, it could show its wear resistance better. With good adhesive materials processing performance, it is widely applied in all kinds of rubber and the surface it press is smooth. However, it also has the weakness, such as with higher generating heat and high hysteresis loss.
6. N326 carbon black
(1)This product is mainly used in the rubber tread material of tire which requires high strength and low heat and it could also be used in conveyor belt, sealing products and other high-quality rubber products.
(2)The rubber using this product always has the properties of high tensile strength, tearing strength, wear resistance and anti-collapse performance. Compared with other high-temperature grinding furnace black, rubber with this product has the low modulus and high elongation. However, it has difficulty in dispersing in rubber and it will reduce the tensile strength, abrasion performance and using life of the rubber material if not scattered well.
7. N330 carbon black
(1)This product is used in the tire tread, cord rubber, tires and various rubber industrial products.
(2)This product has the good performance in reinforcement. It could enable rubber material with strong elongation, high tear resistance, good abrasive resistance and elasticity. The rolling loss (hysteresis loss) of riding tire using this product is smaller than other products, just much bigger than N351. Widely applied in all kinds of synthetic and natural rubber, this product has better properties in dispersing and extrusion.
8. N339 carbon black
(1)This product is used in riding tires, card tire tread rubber, rubber conveyor belt covers, hose, and the rubber industrial products which needs high abrasion resistance.
(2)The reinforcement, wear-resisting and anti-gap properties of this product is close to that of N220, and it has good squeezing performance. This product perfomances better especially when applied in mixed system of butadiene styrene rubber and butadiene rubber. However, when used in producing the tread material, it has the highest rolling resistance in N330 series.
9. N375 carbon black
(1)The purpose of this product is basically the same with the N339, which is mainly used in saloon car, load tire and cross-country tire surface glue material, and also used in conveyer belt cover glue.
(2)With the much lower structure and vulcanization heat than N339, the basic usage and function of this prodcut are nealy the same with N339.
