  • Milk is a kind of ordinary but favorable beverage. In 1961, the International Dairy Foods Association determined that the third Tuesday in May every year is the International Milk Day. Every year on Children’s Day, people advocate the importance of drinking milk. The idea that drinking milk is good for health is wildly accepted by the public. Milk is rich in calcium and aminophenol, which are essential for the development of the human body. Scientific research has indicated that there are five reasons for us to drink milk. 

    The first and the most important reason lies in the rich nutrition of milk. Milk is nutritious natural food that is inexpensive in price and easy to digest and absorb. Eight of the twenty kinds of necessary aminophenol exist in milk. The high quality proteins, including casein, albumin, and globulin, are almost digestible. Moreover, 95%of the fat within can be digested and most of them contain a large amount of soluble vitamins. In addition, the minerals and microelements in milk are soluble as well. As ideal and almost perfect beverage, it is sometimes called the white blood.

    Secondly, there is a substance called CLA existing in milk and cheese. Ordinary people do not know what the substance is but we should know its goodness. The CLA can efficiently and effectively destroy the dangerous radicals and integrate with the cell membranes to make the cells resist cancer. Meanwhile, calcium is also a useful microelement to dissolve the carcinogens and expel them from the human body. What is more, vitamin A, vitamin B2 and vitamin D in dairy foods can prevent stomach cancer and intestines cancer.

    Thirdly, milk has a function of soothing the nerves. Italian researchers have found that a certain ingredient of milk can calm people. Except milk, food like beans and cereals also has similar functions. They suggest anxious and nervous people drink a bottle of milk if they have difficulty in going to sleep.

    Fourthly, milk can bring you beauty. Advanced fat, proteins, vitamins and minerals in milk would moisturize the skin and prevent from wrinkles. Milk provides people with natural and green skin care. There are always records at home and abroad about milk which has been used for beauty. Romans washed faces with milk because they thought milk can whiten the face. In their opinion, it also could control the growth of beard. At present, most of the cosmetics have milk or relevant ingredients.

    Last but not least, milk helps loose weight. Milk contains many fats and high calories. As a result, many people are afraid to drink milk or eat dairy food. But a study in America has showed us that calcium in milk plays an important role in dissolving fat.
