Description: Citronellolformate is a colorless, transparent liquid having acharacteristic odor.
Identification :(1) To 1 ml of Citronellolformate, add 10 ml of ethanolic 10% potassium hydroxide TS, and heat in a water bath for 5 minutes while shaking. Thecharacteristic odor disappears, and an odor of citronellol is evolved.
