Citronellolformate Specification

Odor:  Citronellolformate (105-85-1) has a light rosy note with a suggestion of citrus. A fresh, green, rose, fruity, pear note.
Human experience :  4 % solution: no irritation or sensitization Content: Citronellolformate contains not less than 86.0% of Citronellolformate.
Description: Citronellolformate is a colorless, transparent liquid having acharacteristic odor.
Identification :(1) To 1 ml of Citronellolformate, add 10 ml of ethanolic 10% potassium hydroxide TS, and heat in a water bath for 5 minutes while shaking. Thecharacteristic odor disappears, and an odor of citronellol is evolved.
(2) Proceed as directed in Identification .
