Specification
The Deoxyribonuclease I, with the CAS registry number 9003-98-9, is also known as Alkaline deoxyribonuclease. It belongs to the product categories of Modifying Enzymes Application Index; Protein and Nucleic Acid Isolation Enzyme Class Index; 3.1.x.x Acting on esters; 3.x.x.x Hydrolases; Molecular Biology; Molecular Biology Enzymes; Molecular Biology Tested. Its EINECS number is 232-667-0. Its classification codes are: (1)Mutation data; (2)TSCA Flag XU [Exempt from reporting under the Inventory Update Rule]. It is an enzyme capable of hydrolyzing highly polymerized DNA by splitting phosphodiester linkages, preferentially adjacent to a pyrimidine nucleotide. This catalyzes endonucleolytic cleavage of DNA yielding 5'-phosphodi- and oligonucleotide end-products. The enzyme has a preference for double-stranded DNA. This chemical is stable at common pressure and temperature, and it should be sealed and stored in a ventilated and dry place. Moreover, it should be protected from heat and moisture. It is used in biochemical research, and it is used as an expectorant in clinical, also it can be used for abscess, hematoma and intrathecal injection meningitis.
Preparation: with bovine pancreatic as raw materials, the product can be prepared by extraction with dilluted sulfuric acid, and then fractional precipitation by ammonium sulfate and ethanol.
When you are using this chemical, please be cautious about it as the following:
You must not breathe gas/fumes/vapour/spray (appropriate wording to be specified by the manufacturer). Moreover, you should not breathe dust. When using it, you must avoid contact with skin and eyes.
