TM for a water-soluble glassy sodium phosphate of standardized composition, (Na₁₂P₁₀O₃₁), analyzing 63.5% P₂O₅ (ratio of Na₂O:P₂O₅ is 1.2:1). It is closely similar to a sodium hexametaphosphate and sodium tetraphosphate; frequently the three names are used interchangeably.

Grade:

Ground, walnut-size to pea-size lumps.

Use:

Boiler water compounds, detergents, textiles, leather tanning, photographic film developing, deflocculation of clays, flotation and desliming of minerals, dispersion of pigments, paper processing, industrial and municipal water treatment.
