A textile structure composed of mechanically interlocked fibers or filaments. It may be randomly integrated (nonwoven) or closely oriented by warp and filler strands at right angles to each other (woven). While the word usually refers to wool, cotton, or synthetic fibers, fabrics can also be made of glass fiber and graphite.
