Direct red 23 Uses

 Direct red 23 (CAS NO.3441-14-3) can be used for cotton, viscose fabric dyeing and printing, but are used for viscose fabrics more and cotton fabrics using less, to yellow red. Dyeing rate is good, poor dye transfer, for salt-sensitive. Stained by the dye-fixing agent Y treatment, the wet fastness is not satisfactory. Red dye can be used alone, Qian Hong, may also be used to fight dyed yellow, orange, red, brown and other colors. Can be used for dyeing silk, wool, linen and other fabrics and silk fabric printing. For cotton, viscose blended fabric dyeing, silk, wool color yield lighter, nylon severe staining, 2 cellulose acetate, polyester micro-staining.

Slightly soluble in ethanol, orange, and do not dissolve in acetone. In concentrated sulfuric acid was in the red to magenta, orange, diluted turn brown; in concentrated nitric acid has orange-yellow precipitate produced; do not dissolve in concentrated alkali; soluble in concentrated ammonia was bright red. Copper ions when relying stained darker shade, shade no change in case of iron.
