Uses

 Furethidine (CAS NO.2385-81-1) is a Class A/Schedule I drug which is controlled under UN drug conventions. It has similar effects to other opioid derivatives, such as analgesia, sedation, nausea and respiratory depression.

Safety Profile

Poison by ingestion, subcutaneous, and intravenous routes. When Furethidine (CAS NO.2385-81-1) is heated to decomposition, it emits toxic fumes of NOx. Can be habit forming. This is a controlled substance (opiate) listed in the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21 Part 1308.11 (1985). When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of NOx. See also ESTERS.
