Poison by intraperitoneal route. Moderately toxic by ingestion. Questionable carcinogen with experimental tumorigenic and teratogenic data. Experimental reproductive effects. Human mutation data reported. When heated to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of Cl−, NOx, and SOx. Used as a fungicide.
