through the coupling of CO with epoxides. The adopted

reaction conditions are not harsh and there is no need of
using a co-catalyst or an organic solvent. The excellent
performance is ascribed to the OH groups and the coordi-
nation of OH groups with bromide ions. Moreover, the
catalyst shows good thermal stability, and excellent reus-
ability. From the viewpoint of industrial application, the
catalyst is attractive because of its simplicity, stability, and
reusability.
