Safety Profile
Confirmed carcinogen with experimental carcinogenic, neoplastigenic, and teratogenic data. A human poison by an unspecified route. Experimental reproductive effects. Mildly toxic experimentally by inhalation. Mutation data reported. A fungicide. Combustible when exposed to heat or flame. Violent reaction with dimethylformamide. To fight fire, use CO2, dry chemical. When heated to decomposition it emits highly toxic fumes of Cl−. See also CHLORINATED HYDROCARBONS, AROMATIC.
