Uses
L-Arginine (CAS NO.74-79-3) plays an important role in cell division, the healing of wounds, removing ammonia from the body, immune function, and the release of hormones. It is also used as precursor for the synthesis of nitric oxide (NO). And it can reduces healing time of injuries (particularly bone), quickens repair time of damaged tissue and helps decrease blood pressure.
Production
L-Arginine (CAS NO.74-79-3) is synthesized from citrulline by the sequential action of the cytosolic enzymes argininosuccinate synthetase (ASS) and argininosuccinate lyase (ASL).
