Lead(II) sulfide Specification

The Lead(II) sulfide, with the cas registry number 1314-87-0, has the IUPAC name of sulfanylidenelead. This is a kind of black powder, or silvery metallic crystals and is stable chemically but incompatible with oxidizing agents, acids, water.  Besides, its product categories are various, including Inorganics; Chalcogenides; Materials Science; Metal and Ceramic Science. This product could be produced according to the following equation: Pb 2+ + H2S → PbS + 2 H+.  Recently lead sulfide has been used due to scarcity of antimony; galena is the principal ore of lead sulfide.
