GB 2760 - 1996 provides for the use of edible spices. Mainly for the preparation of banana, pear, citrus and berries, nuts and vegetables flavor.

Fractionation of essential oils containing the product (such as lemon grass oil) , take fraction at 160 ~ 180 ℃, treatment with Sodium bisulfite. Methylheptenone (CAS NO.409-02-9) is derived.
