Uses of N-Cbz-L-alanine: it can be used to produce 4-methyl-5-oxo-oxazolidine-3-carboxylic acid benzyl ester by heating. This reaction is a kind of Condensation. It will need reagent PTSA and solvent benzene with reaction time of 1 hour.
