The Pigment Violet 1 is an organic compound with the formula C28H31N2O3.xUnspecified. It is soluble in acetic acid with a strong fluorescent blue and red, slightly soluble in acetone, and easily soluble in fibrinolytic factors. It appears yellow brown and green fluorescence in concentrated sulfuric acid, bright red changes to red after diluted. With the CAS registry number 1326-03-0, it is also named as Xanthylium, 9-(2-carboxyphenyl)-3,6-bis(diethylamino)-, molybdatetungstatephosphate. The other registry number is 39379-50-5.
Either coloured light or color-fastness performance are similar to Pigment Violet 2. Pigment Violet 1 normally has a higher color intensity and brightness. And color is more pure. It is mainly used in printing inks.
