Uses of Silane,chlorodimethyl(1-methylethyl)-: It can react with geranyl trimethylsilyl ether to produce (3,7-dimethyl-octa-2,6-dienyl)-isopropyl-dimethyl-silane. This reaction will need reagent Li, and the menstruum tetrahydrofuran. And the yield is about 95%.
