The Stannous chloride with CAS registry number of 10025-69-1 is also known as Stannous dichloride dihydrate. The IUPAC name is Dichlorotin dihydrate. Preparation of Stannous chloride: it is prepared by reaction of tin with hydrochloric acid with a certain ratio. Product is obtained by cooling, crystallization and centrifugal separation.

Uses of Stannous chloride: it can be used as analytical reagents, reducing agents, stabilizers, bleach and oil stain agent. This chemical also can be used for electroplating and can be used as raw materials for organic synthesis, pesticide herbicide.
