Strontium peroxide Specification

The systematic name of Strontium peroxide is 1,2-dioxa-3$l2-strontacyclopropane. With the CAS registry number 1314-18-7, it is also named as Strontium dioxide. The product's categories are peroxides metal and ceramic science; oxidation; oxides; strontium; synthetic reagents. It is white to off-white powder which is insoluble in water and slowly decomposed by water. In addition, it is noncombustible, but accelerates the burning of combustible material. This chemical should sealed in the container and stored in the cool and dry place.

Preparation of Strontium peroxide: It can be obtained by the heating reaction of strontium metal or strontium oxide at the 400 ~ 500 °C and under oxygen pressure of 15 × 106 Pa. SrO+0.5O2→SrO2

Uses of Strontium peroxide: It is an oxidizing agent used for bleaching. And it is also used in some pyrotechnic compositions as an oxidizer and a vivid red pyrotechnic colorant. In addition, it is used as cleaning agent for public facilities, treatment agent for metal surface, medicine disinfectant and odor elimination agent.

When you are using this chemical, please be cautious about it as the following:
It is irritating to respiratory system, eyes and skin. And it may cause fire when contact with combustible material, so it should be kept away from combustible material. Additionally, this chemical may explode from friction, heat or contamination. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If you want to contact this product, you must wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection.

People can use the following data to convert to the molecule structure.
