The Sulfuric acid, fuming is an organic compound with the formula H₂O₇S₂. The IUPAC name of this chemical is sulfuric acid; sulfur trioxide. Preparation: this chemical is produced in the contact process, where sulfur is oxidized to sulfur trioxide which is subsequently dissolved in concentrated sulfuric acid. Sulfuric acid itself is regenerated by dilution of part of the oleum.
