Zinc chromate Specification

The Zinc chromate, with the CAS registry number 13530-65-9 and EINECS registry number 236-878-9, has the systematic name of zinc dioxido(dioxo)chromium. It is a kind of odorless yellow powder, and belongs to the proudct category of Inorganics. And the molecular formula of this chemical is CrO4H2Zn.

The physical properties of Zinc chromate are as followings: (1)#H bond acceptors: 4; (2)#H bond donors: 2; (3)#Freely Rotating Bonds: 0; (4)Polar Surface Area: 74.6 Å2.

Preparation of Zinc chromate: Add the potassium dichromate and chromic anhydride solution to ZnO suspending liquid with stirring, and after the reaction is completed, filter and dry it, then you can get the product.

Applications of Zinc chromate: It is usually used as a corrosion resistant agent and sealant. It is also used as a pigment known as Zinc Yellow, Buttercup Yellow or Yellow 36, but it is rarely used in art anymore.

You should be cautious while dealing with this chemical. If contact with combustible material, it may cause fire. And it may also cause sensitization by skin contact, and cancer by inhalation. What's more, it is very toxic to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment. Therefore, you had better take the following instructions: Keep away from combustible material; In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show label where possible); Avoid exposure - obtain special instruction before use.

You can still convert the following datas into molecular structure:
(1)SMILES: [Zn+2].[O-][Cr]([O-])(=O)=O
(2)InChI: InChI=1/Cr.4O.Zn/q;;;2*-1;+2/rCrO4.Zn/c2-1(3,4)5;/q-2;+2
(3)InChIKey: NDKWCCLKSWNDBG-VAGSWGNDAY
