Preparation and uses of Zinc phosphate tetrahydrate: it can be prepared by ZnSO4·7H2O and Na2HPO4 by heating to boiling with stirring. Then go through crystallization to get the product. Also it can be obtained from ZnCl2, phosphoric acid and pyridine. Add ZnCl2 into the phosphoric acid and pyridine solution. Then heat it for 4 hours. In addition, it is used as corrosion and flame retardancy filling agent for antirust paint, coating, water-soluble alkyd coatings, phenolic coating, epoxy coating, epoxy and phenolic resin adhesive. Also it can be used as flame retardant for chlorinated rubber and synthetic polymer materials.
