DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 78 (Inorganic Chemicals and Reactions) SF5NCl2 reacted with PCl3, Se2Cl2 or Se, and SCl2 or S2Cl2 at low temps. to give SF5N:PCl3, SF5N:SeCl2, and SF5N:SCl2, resp. SF5NCl2 and SF5N:NCl2 reacted to give SF5N:S:NSF5. On warming to room temp. SF5N:PCl3 decompd. to PF5 + Cl + (NSCl)n, SnF5N:SeCl2 to NSF3 + SeCl4 + SeF4, and SF5N:SCl2 to SF5Cl, N, and Cl. The reaction products were characterized by IR, NMR, and mass spectra. SF5NH2.HCl was formed from SF5NCl2 and HCl. .
