Appropriate relaxation functions were fitted to the measured dielec. spectra. The results of this anal. were interpreted by assuming that in solns. of small ions both effects, kinetic depolarization and dielec. satn., are present. Formation of ion pairs is indicated by an addnl. dispersion/absorption region at <2 GHz. In these cases the parameters characterizing the solvent water are less influenced by the solute than in solns. of similar but fully dissocd. electrolytes. .

Elemental anal. and ESR showed that chlorination of the polymer occurs to some extent above the limiting doping level (6.5%). .
