(Japan). There are some reagents with their cas registry numbers 1330-43-4 and 10039-32-4 are used in this study. CODEN: JKXXAF. CLASS: IC: C09K005-06. APPLICATION: JP 82-107196 22 Jun 1982. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 52 (Electrochemical, Radiational, and Thermal Energy Technology) The title materials are prepd. by adding Na2B4O7 and(or) Na2B4O7.1OH2O to Na2HPO4.12H2O. The materials have reduced degree of supercooling at solidification. Na2B4O7 and Na2B4O7.1OH2O act as effective nuclei in solidifying processes. Thus, Na2B4O7 was added to Na2HPO4.12H2O to give heat-storage materials suitable for use at relatively low (30-50°) temps. .

- Storage of heat by salt hydrates. Thermal properties of salt hydrates. Morita, Toshiki; Fukuda, Katsuya (Kobe Univ. Mercantile Mar., Kobe, Japan). Kobe Shosen Daigaku Kiyo, Dai-2-Rui, 31(2), 89-96 (Japanese) 1983. CODEN: KSDKAB. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 52 (Electrochemical, Radiational, and Thermal Energy Technology) Sp. heat in molten states, the m.p., and the heat of fusion were measured for Na2S2O3.5H2O, Na2HPO4.In this article, certain chemicals are used. Some of their cas registry numbers are 10039-32-4 and 10102-17-7 12H2O, and Na2SO4.10H2O by adiabatic scanning calorimetry. The resp. m.ps. and heats of fusion were 323, 309, and 305 K and 205, 270, and 250 J/g. The sp. heats of hydrate-water mixts. slightly increased, and the m.ps. and heat of fusion of mixts. decreased with increasing water content. The heat content of salt hydrates and water were compared on volumetric basis, and the effect of repeated use of hydrates on these properties were investigated. .
