DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 55 (Ferrous Metals and Alloys) The electroless deposition of Fe films on P bronze [12767-50-9] was carried out from a bath contg. FeSO4.7H2O 6, K-Na tartrate 700, NaOH 40, and NaH2PO2.H2O [10039-56-2] 30 g/L. After polishing and acid and water washing, the substrates were sensitized by dipping for 1 min in 0.01M PdCl2 contg. 10 mL HCl/L. The substrates were Fe-coated by holding in the bath at 70.degree. for 15 min. The film contained >99.5% Fe as .alpha.-Fe crystallites. For electroless deposition of Fe-Ni films a bath contg. FeSO4 and NiSO4 was used, the M concn. 10039-56-2 and 40968-90-9 are just another two chemicals used in this study. of FeSO4 + NiSO4 being equal to that of FeSO4 in the bath for electroless Fe deposition. An extremely preferential deposition of Fe from the Fe-Ni bath was obsd. in comparison with the depsition from conventional baths. .
