Besides O2-, O3- and NO2 centers, an F-center was produced, in which an electron was trapped by an NO3- vacancy. The orientation of the F-center in the Sr(NO3)2 crystal was detd. from the symmetry axis of the g tensor. The sites and orientations of the O2-, O3- and NO2 centers were also detd. The superhyperfine interactions of the F-center with surrounding 14N nuclei of NO3- were investigated, and the superhyperfine splitting consts. were detd. .

In the 1st stage, 7-10% HNO3 is used at 70-80° and the Ba-contg. ppt. is removed; in the 2nd stage, 4-6 wt. parts Ca(NO3)2/100 wt. parts soln. are added, the soln. is boiled down to £1/10 of its initial vol., and the Ba-contg. residue is removed. .
