A crystn. field was defined for Tb(NO3)3.2[C9H7N. 10043-27-3 and 106199-02-4 are also in the experiment.HNO3].3H2O; this new compd. was characterized by chem. anal., IR spectroscopy, derivatog., and x-ray diffraction. The compd. is congruently sol. (77.2 at 25° and 85.8 wt.% at 50°). An ion pair structure of the type (BH+)2(Tb(NO3)5(H2O)32-) is proposed. .
