Thus, reaction of I with Fischer Tropsch wax (mol. wt. 800) followed by treatment of product with ethylenediamine (II) [107-15-3] gave a product contg. 3% II (based on wax) that was useful in manuf. of a carbon paper ink and had an oil retention penetration test value of 25 using Texaco Ink Oil No. 538 as the oil for test and a penetration needle similar to that employed in the ASTM test method D 1321-54T.
