- Thermographic study of the reaction of copper, zinc, nickel, and lead selenites with sodium carbonate. Muldagalieva, R. A.; Pashinkin, A. S.; Makhmetov, M. Zh.; Malyshev, V. P. (Khim.-Metall. Inst., Karaganda, USSR). Deposited Doc., VINITI 3722-75, 12 pp. Avail. VINITI (Russian) 1975. DOCUMENT TYPE: Report CA Section: 54 (Extractive Metallurgy) The reaction mechanism of CuSeO3 [16509-17-4], CuO×CuSeO3 [15599-88-9], ZnSeO3 [13597-46-1], NiSeO3 [10101-96-9], and PbSeO3 [7488-51-9] with Na2CO3 was investigated. Cu selenite reaction with Na2CO3 began at 130 and ended at 430°. The wt. loss in 20 min at 450° of ~10% indicated formation of Na2SeO3 [10102-18-8].
